PARENTAL CONTROL
Thanks to MTV, frustrated parents will once again get the
chance to kick their kid's loser boyfriends and girlfriends to the
curb!
MTV gives parents a chance to interfere in their children's relationship. Do you think parents know who's the best choice for their child? Should they play match makers? If not where do you think do people find their true soulmates these days?
I think that your parents shouldn't have 100% control over your relationships, however their opinion should be important to you. Parents are normally right when it comes to who would be right for you because they are the ones who raised you most likely so they know who will and will not treat you right.
AntwortenLöschenI think parents shouldn't have that much control over their child. A child has to choose who they believe to be their soulmate on their own. Even if the dude has the tendancy to say bra or dude at the end of every sentence, and wears a seashell necklace. Or she spends all his money on designer shoes. If those are people the child chosses then they gotta learn on their own.

AntwortenLöschenBeing Asian and having strict parents is a big no when it comes to relationships. If my parents were involved in making decisions in my relationships I would never have hope for getting into one. We should decide for ourselves and be influenced by our parents but not controlled.
I think it's crazy if your parents pick and choose your lover. Unless your dating a dangerous lunatic, I don't think your parents should control you in such ways. I do think however that parents should approve who your seeing. If you do that, it will make your life a whole lot easier!
AntwortenLöschenI think that parents should keep out of their children's lives. However, if you have a problem with your relationship, you should be comfortable talking about it with your parents.
AntwortenLöschenIn my opinion parents shouldn`t have too much control, but if they get that their childs hang around with teens drifted off they should do sth against it. Of course it isn`t okay directly searching a new partner for its child like the parents of parental control!! That`s kind of unhuman and quite crazy ;-)
AntwortenLöschenI think parents shouldn't have control over your relationships. Sure they can influence what kind of relationship you get into but they shouldn't be able to choose who you are going to date or tell you that you can't date a person simply because they dress like a goth, emo, hippy, etc. I do however think that if they believe you are getting involved with someone that could cause serious trouble for you or make you do something dangerous then your parents should be able to say somrthing about it and interfere. Otherwise they should let their child make their own decisions and do their best to accept whatever or whoever they decided to date.
